Harness Site Features: Media Vault

*New Site Feature Coming in May 2025

What It Is

The Media Vault is a library of your content that is stored on the site itself. It’s intended to give you quick access to the media you most frequently share, reducing the time it takes to upload and send or post your content.

You can add pictures, videos, GIFs, and audios—all the file types you can currently share on the site. The max file size for each file is 2 GB, and the total vault size is 20 GB.

Where to Find It

From your Model Dashboard on the mobile or desktop browser, navigate in the left sidebar to Media Vault. This is where you can view your existing media, add new media, and organize your content. At this time, the vault is accessible only from the browser. A future TextPanther app update will include access to the vault.

You can also access the vault while sending and posting media. When sending a direct message, tap the camera icon. When sending a mass message or posting to your profile, tap the dotted box that reads “Add Photo, Audio or Video.” In both instances, you’ll see an option to “Upload from Media Vault.”

How to Use It

Organization is key to an efficient workflow. If you haven’t organized your content in the past, take this opportunity to develop and implement an organization system for your content, including consistent file naming and tagging.

Uploading Content

  • Longer Videos: Since these videos may take longer to upload from your device, storing them on the site will speed up the sending process. Remember that the current file size limit is 2 GB.

  • Popular Clips: If you have frequently requested clips, adding them to the vault will help you access and send them faster than searching through your device.

  • High Quality GIFs: Like a longer video, a high quality GIF tends to have a larger file size and take longer to upload. Save time by adding to the vault the ones you use most often.

  • Standard Pics: If you have a standard content drip or standard first pics you use when you start sending users content to unlock, save these to the vault (and organize with tags) to help you grab them faster.

Organizing Content

While your content will be automatically filtered into Audio, Photo, or Video based on the file type, you can also rename the file and add tags to it.

If you aren’t already in the habit of naming your files (it’s ok if you’re not—especially if you primarily work off your phone), consider creating a naming convention for your vault media. You’ll be able to search by file name, so you may want to include markers such as a date or year, whether it’s safe for work, a sequence number if it’s part of a drip, and a name if it’s part of a theme or specific shoot.

Perhaps more important than naming is tagging your files when you upload them to the vault. Use a tagging system that works for you! When you create your tags, you can use emojis and/or text. If you start a tag with an emoji, it may help you quickly scan and find the tag you’re looking for. You can add up to 20 tags to any file, so think about how your tags might work together.

If you need some inspiration for tagging, here are some ideas:

Finding Content

When you’re in the vault itself (accessed from the Media Vault tab), sending content in your Messages, or adding content to a Feed post, you can find your vault content in several ways:

  • The search bar allows you to search by tag or file name.

  • You can filter your content by selecting the tags you wish to view. You can select multiple tags at the same time.

  • You can filter by the type of media: pictures, videos, audio.

  • You can sort by date added or alphabetically by file name.

As you start to work with the vault, you’ll find ways to make it your own and make it work for you. Get ready to use it to its fullest potential!
